Fasinro Fall 2016 Newsletter

Greetings,

We would like to express our gratitude for your emails, prayers, and financial support through out this year. Without your prayers and financial support, it would be very challenging to accomplish the work God has called us to do.

Praise the Lord for allowing us to see 148 profess faith in Christ so far this year. But there is much more we would like to accomplish for Him before the end of the year. Before the year ends, we would like to win more souls for Christ, complete the roofing for our seventh church plant, and start our eighth church in Oshogbo town. Please pray for Pastor Amos Dada, the Pastor of our next church we intend to help start. We are in need of $3000 to purchase a small plot of land for the new church. It is a blessing to see how God has provide for the starting of these churches, and I know he will continue to provide. We count it an honor to be used of the Lord here in Nigeria, and we thank the Lord for using you to help us here as well.

We just concluded our 2nd Nationals’ Day of Prayer Conference August 2-4 2016. For three days, there were a total of 522 in attendance. We heard powerful preaching from two of our National pastors, and I taught on Faith Promise Giving in the morning sessions. At the close of the sessions, many pastors planned to start a missions program in their churches. They caught the vision of practicing Faith Promise Giving which enabled them to see how they could support Nigerian missionaries.

During the Conference, we gave out used clothes, toys and used books. A special “thank you” to Mrs Ellie Johnson who donated most of her Late husband’s (Pastor Ed Johnson/First Baptist Church Rosemount MN) entire library for the Conference. Also at the end of the conference, each Pastor and his wife received a very special gift package for themselves.

I want to share a special prayer request for one of our pastors here. Last Sunday, Pastor Oladibu’s house partially collapsed due to heavy rain. Pastor Oladibu is the Pastor of our latest church plant in Odo-Oba village. We have helped him to close up the broken walls, but please pray that we will be able to help him complete the fixing of his home. We need to help him with cementing the outside walls and replace the outside windows. We hope to also prevent this from happening again.

In closing, we are finally preparing for our 9 month furlough beginning in April 2017. We are planning to take Shaday, our oldest daughter to West Coast Baptist College in the fall of 2017. During this time, we would love to visit your church to share updates and thank your church personally for the sacrifices you have made for us. Please feel free to email us on possible dates so that we can plan our itinerary better.

Please pray for safety, good health, and for the Lord to open more opportunities to be used by him. ”Finally brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified even as it is with you”. II Thessalonians 3:1

For the sake of more souls,

Missionary Yinka Fasinro …….your missionary family serving in
