Pastors hello. I hope this email finds you all in good spirit and in good health. I hope family is also fine. Thank you for your continued support and prayer for us while here in Nigeria. We are doing great and thank God for the opportunities he gives us here to preach the gospel. Please we have a special need I hope you can prayerfully consider adding to your prayer for us. We stated in our recent newsletter that one of our church plants in the north just experienced a severe storm which took part of their roof and left their church building damaged. We have been praying and trying to raise the funds to replace the roof and fix the building for several weeks. Unfortunately, we have only been able to raise half the repair cost which is $2000.00. We are still in need of another $2000 to have enough to fix the damaged roof and building. Please can you join us to pray that the roofing and repairs be done very soon. They still use half the building for services in-spite of the continuous rain fall. This is an urgent plea in case the Lord impresses on your heart as a church to help this young church plant. This will certainly encourage this church in a great way. We don’t want to start the repair until we have everything we need because it involves removing the whole roof. We will need to repair the building before replacing the roof. Thank you again for your prayers and support for us here and please pray for Pastor Abel/True Gospel Baptist Church. God bless!!

Greetings, I hope this email finds everyone well. Please I would like for you to pray for us as we will be away from home for the next 13 days here in Nigeria. We are traveling to the eastern part of the country to preach in three large universities and two churches. It’s going to be a grueling 13 hour journey, so please pray for safety.  We have sent ahead of us over 1000 Beams Bibles and books for the coming salvation decisions in the meetings. Couple years ago, we saw 90 profess salvation in Jesus Christ in one of the schools that we visited. Many of them that got saved are now wanting to be trained to go out to preach the gospel. HALLELUJAH!!!!A local Pastor there is needing help from us to start a Bible College for these new converts. What a blessing to see the zeal in their hearts for the things of God right after salvation. Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit will be so evident in these upcoming meetings in a great way. The dates of the meetings are July 27-August 4. We are praying for open and tender hearts as close to a thousand students are going to hear the TRUE gospel. Thank you and God bless!!!

Greetings,                                                                                                Quick Update July 2018
We thank God for giving us a safe trip as we traveled to the northern part of Nigeria this week. We were in 4 different churches preaching and encouraging the people and Pastors. We were able to see many decisions for Christ including souls professing salvation in Christ. One Pastor in particular that we visited was Pastor Abel of True Gospel Baptist Church. A couple of weeks ago a strong wind blew part of the church roof off the building. I was able to assess the damage, preach and pray with the church for provision.
The members are mostly poor farmers who cannot afford to have the roof replaced themselves. Please pray that God will help us with the great task of helping them quickly. They are using the side of the church that was not affected for now. I also visited the 120 year old man that I mentioned in my earlier newsletter who is waiting for a Bible believing church to come to his village before he dies. Pastor Abel is training 2 pastors currently as we fervently pray that God should send one of them to his village. Before I left, I presented to him a NFL Minnesota Vikings cap which he was very excited to get. And then I also visited a new church in the north that True Gospel Baptist church recently started. Faith Baptist church has no Pastor yet but after one year, they are still faithful to the Lord every week. Prayer points: Please pray for Pastor Abel’s roof because raining season is upon them. And pray also for Faith Baptist Church to have a new Pastor very soon.

Miracle from God:
One of our national pastors was traveling to Abuja last Saturday from Lagos which is a whole day’s journey. By Monday, he had not arrived at his destination. His host called his wife and daughter to tell them he had not arrived yet. Because no one knew where he was, everyone began to pray for him. On Wednesday he called his wife to let her know he had been kidnapped, but God miraculously freed him. He later gave a testimony that both public transportation vehicles he was on had broken down. Because of this, he took a taxi cab which unfortunately was filled with kidnappers. A few minutes later he was hit with a blunt instrument on the back of his head which knocked him out. When he woke up, he was surrounded by 4 armed men in the middle of the forest. Later being guarded by one of the kidnappers, he was able to witness to him and beg for his release. After being forced to leave all his belongings, God miraculously used this kidnapper to drive him part of the way out of the forest.
I share this testimony with you in order for you to pray for this pastor as he recuperates from his ordeal, and for the Lord to provide to have his vehicle fixed.
I know that many of you faithfully pray for us. Please continue to pray for us especially as we travel to preach in churches and universities later this month.
This live account testimony shows the importance of collective prayer and a good, reliable vehicle here in Nigeria, which God recently provided for us to add in our recent container shipment. WE PRAISE THE LORD FOR ANSWERED PRAYER!!!

Greetings,                                                                                                                                                     Quick update May 5, 2018
Hallelujah!!! Praise the Lord!!!!
Thank you for all your prayers about our container. Our container has finally arrived. It’s a relief to finally see the container arrive after a 3 month journey from Minnesota. Apart from an office chair missing, and a shattered car windshield, we thank God that everything made it to us. This was actually the smoothest clearing process since we’ve been here. God truly answered all of your prayers.
Quick update:
We have begun the completion of our 8th church plant. Thank you again to those that gave and prayed towards this project. We have already traveled to six churches to preach since being back and have seen 18 who have professed salvation in Christ. Praise the Lord!!
The kids are also glad to be back and have finally settled down with a normal school schedule. And we were able to put together their new trampoline (Thank the Lord for instructions).
We praise God that we now have uninterrupted fresh clean drinkable water as we finally dug a “borehole” this week. We have been spending about $70 every 2weeks buying bottled water and having a water tanker deliver water for us for the past 10 years. We had not been able to find a very reliable company to do the “borehole” until now. We praise God for bringing a reliable company who can reach the depth of the water in the ground accurately. Obviously this will save us lot of money. This is a great blessing!!!
Please pray for our safety as we plan to travel to the eastern part of the country. This mission trip is scheduled for July 27-August 4 2018. The last time we traveled there, I had the opportunity to preach at a university and as a result, we saw 90 students profess salvation in Christ. This time we have been invited to 2 other universities. Those that profess salvation in Christ get a new bible, and a devotional book. Also pray that we see many decisions for the Lord during the program. We clearly don’t have enough materials for all three programs this time. Please pray that God will guide us as we pass out the materials for the students that get saved.
Also please pray for Shaday as she travels home to Nigeria this week after her first year at Westcoast Baptist college.
Thank you again for your prayers, encouragement, and support. You all are truly a blessing to us.

As we close out the year, we want to thank God for the many blessings we experienced through-out the year. We thank God for those who sacrificed, encouraged, and prayed for us. We could not have experienced all the blessings without churches being faithful to missions giving.

Here are several blessings we experienced in 2017!!

  1. Five young men surrendered to preach the gospel. And as a result, there will be more Independent Baptist churches in the north soon
  2. Pastor Abel planted his first church in the north and the church is now averaging 30 every Sunday in the midst of a large muslim population.
  3. We were able to see 381 profess Salvation in Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!!!!!

I remember having a flat tire and pulling into a local Walmart parking lot. I finally replaced the flat tire after making several trips in and out of the Walmart store looking for the right tool. After replacing the tire 2 hours later, I learned an important lesson that day. A missionary can be helpless without the right “tools” from God. As the saying goes “where he guides he provides” or “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” II Corinthians 9:8

Our 40ft container finally left Minnesota January 6th 2018. The container included 1000 KJV Bibles, Sunday School materials, 200 Devotional books, Gospel tracts for the north, 4×4 truck, and many other things.

A former owner of a Christian bookstore had kept over 3000 gift items in her garage for 4 years waiting on the Lord for guidance. After hearing about our ministry, she felt the Lord had impressed on her heart to give everything to us. We plan to use it for all the Conferences we are planning to have in Nigeria soon. Hallelujah!!!!!!

Also many church families, and individuals gave lots of used clothing, toys, reading books for the children, and lots of used books for the national pastors. We were also given funds from our home church (First Baptist Church of Rosemount, MN ) and Faith Baptist Church Canoga Park, CA to help complete our 8th church plant. Another family gave funds towards urgent needs of some national Pastors.

Thank you again for those that gave and prayed for all our needs. This has been a great encouragement to us and for the Nigerian Pastors and their families.

In closing,

Please pray for:

Traveling back to Nigeria in February 2018

God’s favor and provision for the remaining cost of clearing the container which arrives in Nigeria March 3, 2018

Good health for the family

Safety in Nigeria

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,  For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Phillippians 6:19,20
