Newsletter – Winter 2005

We would like to take a moment to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance from our family to yours. We’ve  put over 50,000 miles on the van which resulted in us being in more churches and seeing more people saved than the previous year. It was very exciting to see God open doors and to see several of those churches consider supporting us. After being on deputation for several months consecutively, it is refreshing to be back in our home church for three weeks.

As we come to the end of the year, I’ll like to share some blessings:

#1 I had the opportunity to lead my eight year old nephew to Christ over the phone.

#2 God layed on someone’s heart to give us $1000.00 towards a Digital Projector.

#3 God allowed us to have 70 meetings and see 108 come to Christ.

#4 We were able to purchase land in Nigeria for our future house in the Village.

#5 Saw our support level from March to December rise to about 40 percent.

#6 Not encountering any major problems with our 230,000 mile minivan.

#7 We were all relatively healthy including Timothy our newborn who is 5 mns now.

#8 God provided all 6 airline tickets for a 3 month survey trip to Nigeria  March ‘06.

#9 God providing us with 4 brand new tires for the van.

#10 My wife was given a whole Bible curriculum as she home schools the children.

There were many more answers to prayers, but we only mentioned a few. We thank you for your prayers, support and encouraging words. As we prepare for the coming new year, our prayer is that we have more meetings, more souls saved, and more churches to take us on for monthly support. We would like to leave for the mission field late fall of next year Lord willing. Our trip to Nigeria in March of 2006 will be more of a planning and preparation trip. When we return May 31st, we want to be better prepared for the mission field when we  finally leave. Please pray that we are able to get a powerful generator, small refrigerator, air conditioner, and small portable cooking stove for our trip. As I reflect on this year,  I’m excited that the gospel I received at age 14 in America, is the same gospel I will be presenting to my native country of Nigeria almost 26 years later. The old gospel story that works in America will also work in Africa because “… it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jews first, and also to the Greek.

Thank you and God bless!

In Christ,

Ev. Yinka Fasinro ……your missionary family to Nigeria, West Africa
